Qmagnet Prescription for hip pain:![]() The first device is placed midway between the inner thigh and hip at the groin fold in the front. The second device is placed at the joint space at the hipbone. Feel for the hip bone by gently swing the leg forward and back on the affected side. Place a Qmagnet directly over this joint space or groove. ![]() Remember to balance yourself by holding on to a chair or other secure surface to prevent a fall. The third device is placed at the groove or indentation felt on the side of the hip by gently extending the leg backward. A combination of all three is recommended.
Note:These are recommendations from neurologists and physiotherapists who have used Qmagnets extensively in a clinical setting. The larger Qmagnets such as the ProQ has the advantage of penetrating deeper into the body and also has a larger active surface area (the active surface area of the Qmagnet is in the centre of the smooth side, where the magnetic field gradient is at its steepest). The smaller PlusQ is less conspicuous and has a lower profile, hence it may be more comfortable for daily use. The MiniQ is quite small with no plastic casing and hence only requires a small round plaster to apply it to the body. Hence it is very comfortable and inconspicuous to wear, but has a shallow penetration and a very small active surface area. Where different sized models are used, it is recommended that the larger Qmagnets such as the ProQ should be used centrally over the spine and the smaller ones such as the PlusQ and MiniQ should be used peripherally. With each pain episode, you may require a larger Qmagnet and as the pain diminishes, you may substitute a smaller device such as the PlusQ or MiniQ to maintain your pain free state. |
